Pink Pots - Drone Me

Whilst in commotion of it all
He set his apartment ablaze
And now he struggles in front of policemen
Illuminated in a psycho haze
But no, you didn't have to drone him
With fake and expensive pleasure
And no, you didn't have to drone me
At the morning table with another story
You didn't have to drone me
Whilst in commotion of it all
He didn't really seem to care
About anything, really at all
The lights were already on fire
But no, you didn't have to drone him
With stupid and fake paper
And no, you didn't have to drone me
At the morning table with another story
You didn't have to drone me

I woke up today tired, bored, excessively nonchalant.
At 12 PM. As always. Mustn't wake up when everyone else does.
I sit in a chair of a few hours, maybe 10.
And everyone else does this one too. They do. I know it.
Screens flash. My life flashes. I go outside. Life still flashes.
No wasted days. No more wasted days.
So good. So good to see progress. But I just close it. No more looking at the world.
No more times with others. Just self.
Screens flash. My life flashes. I go outside. Life still flashes.
No wasted days. No more wasted days.

It's fun to watch people do nothing with their lives
It's fun to be someone else whilst digitalized
It's fun to watch TV and make fun of the skags
And it's fun to suffocate in a cellophane bag
Bioplastic sheets of cellulose, perfect for my end
It's packaging for what drives me crazy, type out awkward message send
It's fun to watch fans oscillate in the sky
It's fun to shoot projectiles with another guy
It's fun to walk through nature and let time lag
And it's fun to suffocate in a cellophane bag
Bioplastic sheets of cellulose, perfect for my end
It's packaging for what drives me crazy, type out awkward message send

You are a planet, a big one that is
Your massive ego prevents life forming on you
You wanna see yourself on silver screens
But you don't wanna work for it, you just wanna sit
I launched a satellite to view the problem
And I could revolve around you just fine
I launched into orbit, I launched into orbit
I launched into orbit, and your ego doesn't seem to be fine
You are a celestial body of large size
No universal solvent is evident
You wanna see yourself on national TV
But you don't wanna work for it, you just wanna sit
I launched a satellite to view the problem
And I could revolve around you just fine
I launched into orbit, I launched into orbit
I launched into orbit, and your ego doesn't seem to be fine

This is for my waitress today at the pub
Really liked your short hair, cute face, and big butt
I really liked that big smile you gave me
I'd ask you out on a date
But it'd be awkward in front of my family
Also you're like twenty-five
And I'm seventeen
I wonder what your name is - Annie or Melinda?
Who cares? I'll never see you again. You'll be my fantasy
Until I meet another girl that catches my fancy
I'd ask you out on a date
But it'd be awkward in front of my family
Also you're like twenty-five
And I'm only seventeen
Before I go girl
Refill my water

Poor little child
Who cut open their mouth
All so lonesome
In childhood's house
You know you're only
Prey to me
So why don't you go and
Pray to me
I killed my mother, I killed my pa
I slit your throat and broke your jaw
Yet I pray for the angels up above
For they will never know what happiness was
Addiction creepers
Just like her father
She didn't realize it
Till she was older
She doesn't even
Realize it still
His fragile reflection
In her windowsill
I killed my mother, I killed my pa
I slit your throat and broke your jaw
Yet I pray for the angels up above
For they will never know what happiness was
In laptop screens
The corpses under-
Ground she is yearning
For another
Crazy little kid
Mutilation mouth
All on her lonesome
Leaves childhood's house
The older she feels, the better she gets
Less of a mess with fewer regrets
So I only pray for the angels above
For they will never see what happiness was

If I kick you down again
Will you reach to kiss my shoe?
You step back into the ring
But the only person knocking you out is you
I thought we ended this months ago
It should've ended sooner
If I hadn't been on the rebound
We would never had gone anywhere
This is our last goodbye
And I don't care if you're gonna cry
You're still calling out to me
You've lost all my sympathy
I told you off and left you waiting
You're still stuck anticipating
Even if I had been attracted to you
Even if we had a single thing in common
Why would I want to be with someone
With so little self-respect that they can't move on
This is our last goodbye
And I don't care if you're gonna cry

I see you
You're two chairs
Short of a full set
Sing your low tide carol
In your sock graveyard
I could spit forever if you'd let me

An empire
I never heard it that way
What a shame
Never heard the truth
Our influence
In almost every nation
Exploit the poor
Rape what you sew
We were all told
How great of a country we live in
It's not true
We would be nothing
If we hadn't denied rights to millions
And conquered
Take the land
And if you can't, send tycoons
Monopolize
Their resources
Work the people
Of another land
Deny their rights
Their dignity
We were all told
How great of a country we live in
It's not true
We would be nothing
If we didn't deny rights to millions
And conquer
